Volunteer application for the 2nd Asian Youth Games has started on Sept 18.
Around 13,000 volunteers, most of whom are from Nanjing, will be recruited from Sept 17 to Oct 15.
Anyone above the age of 18 can file the application. Some posts will hold tests to evaluate the applicant’s foreign language ability.
Overseas Chinese and students, foreigners, and people who are from outside Jiangsu, and those from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan can apply for posts in January next year.
The AYG organizing committee will provide job securities including gears, catering and insurance. It will also award certificates and badges to volunteers to inspire their enthusiasm.
“Those who perform well during the Games will be recruited as volunteers for Youth Olympic Games after tests,” said Shan Xiaofeng, counselor for the YOG organizing committee.
